Ministry Teams more information

Admin Team

The Admin team does the behind the scene tasks to support the church operation, the church ministries, and the church families.

The purpose of the team is to perform tasks to support the running of the church as an organization, to support any admin help that any church ministries may need, and to perform tasks to help staff stay connected with church families.

We make copies, fill out forms, stuff envelopes, send out letters, prepare birthday cards, update the database, coordinate building inspections, retrieve phone messages, handle inquiries from external entities... The list goes on. Whatever admin need is there, we want to be able to support it. The schedule is flexible. Each team member supports a certain area. We help each team member find an area that will fit their schedule and interest.

Communications & Web Team

The communication team uses various communication mediums to help communicate to the Hope families, to facilitate communication among ministry teams and team leaders, and to help Hope communicate to the community.

The purpose of the team is to facilitate connection, to help Hope families stay connected to Hope, to help ministry teams connect to each other, and to communicate what Hope is to the community and help connect the community to Hope.

The mediums that the team currently supports include Sunday bulletin (Horizons), Sunday announcement slides, monthly newsletter, mass email announcement and communication, brochures, announcement of events in local newspaper, web site. The team also facilities communication among staff and ministry teams and team leaders. Each medium is a sub-ministry within the communication umbrella. As we launch each medium, we need committed team members to continue to run it and support it. The team grows as the communication needs at Hope grow, and as people offer ideas and commit to support it. We always welcome new team members to help support the current mediums or to start a new one!

Event Team

The purpose of the event team is to always to give praise to God through fun events for hope's members as well as to reach those who may be seeking God and don't know that God has a great sense of humor, loves music, dancing and laughing.

My goal as the leader is to maximize every member's strengths and utilize them in positive ways to serve God as well as to develop and environment of trust where the members feel comfortable sharing their prayer needs in addition to their creative ideas and hopes for the event team's outreach efforts.

We get together to coordinate five major events throughout the year such as the Easter Brunch, a Summer Picnic, Hope's Birthday Bash, A Day of Thanksgiving, and the Christmas Party. We brainstorm for new ideas and make decisions regarding theme, food, decorations, entertainment and more.

Knowing that everybody is busy we are a very flexible with the times that we meet. We know people have many responsibilities in this valley and we are all very sensitive to each other's needs. We meet on an as need basis and we manage a lot of the coordination via email.

This ministry is very rewarding, sometimes we feel guilty for all the thank you hugs and compliments we receive from hope's members especially when there are so many great people behind the scenes that are so vital to hope's daily operation yet their work is not as visible as ours. The fellowship is phenomenal, we all have a great sense of humor and love of God and watching the people enjoy themselves during the events just fills your heart.

We are always looking for volunteers to join our group, the more we have the bigger and better events we can create. We need thinkers, problem solvers, creative and caring, enthusiastic helpers. So if you are thinking about volunteering, come check us out, feel free to kick the tires and if this is not the right ministry for you, we will help you to find a place where you can serve God joyfully.

In all we do our goal is always to glorify God with our events, encourage fellowship to our members and give the un-churched an opportunity to check God out in a fun and non- threatening way.

Music Ministry

The Hope Praise Band seeks to achieve several goals each Sunday morning. One goal is to foster an environment that encourages the people at hope to focus their attention on the awesome wonder of our Lord. Another is to present a welcoming atmosphere for visitors where contemporary worship music greets them, while presenting the love of Christ in song. The music ministry also seeks to provide an opportunity for those that God has gifted with musical ability, to give that ability back to God and in turn, be a blessing to Him. The band rehearses each Sunday morning and plays every Service.

Levite Team

The Levite Team is composed of at least 9 members. We clean both buildings on a regular basis. Each member has a certain area to clean at various times of the month or weekly. A cooperative spirit, good work ethic and desire to serve God and his people are attributes of all of the members. They also like to remain in the background. We strive to make Hope a comfortable, yet sanitary place for the family and visitors.

The purpose of the maintenance team is to provide a clean and orderly place for people to enjoy worshiping God and fellowshipping with each other. We have a Workday on the second Saturday of every month from 8:00 to noon. My purpose as team leader is to coordinate and provide the tools necessary to complete needed repairs and projects, big and small.

Multimedia Team

The multimedia team supports the message, music, and drama ministries through computer generated projection of slideshows, lyrics and video. The team also supports the band at the Wednesday night rehearsals and Friday Night Live concerts. Anyone with computer skills and a desire to serve in this vital support ministry are encouraged to contact the team leader.

Prayer Team

The Hope Prayer Team serves to lift up the prayer requests of the hope church family. Each week a new prayer list is circulated and team members spend time in individual prayer for each request. This ministry has no regularly scheduled meetings, but rather encourages team members to dedicate time in prayer for the prayer needs of our members and friends.

Welcome Team

The purpose of the Welcome Team is to ensure that everyone who comes to Hope knows that God loves them and we love them. With smiles, hugs and genuine concern, each member lets God use them to love others. For newcomers, in addition to the welcoming functions set forth above, the team provides an overview of the building, Hope's values and beliefs, what the guest can expect, provides printed materials, is available to answer questions, and escorts those with children to the appropriate children's ministry, explaining the program along the way. We try to help the person get connected to at least one or two other people to help make them feel more at home.
